Having no contact with African culture, she cannot relate to this part of her background in any way. She tries to solve this inner conflict with extreme conformity to the point of self-denial.

Voll krass

They are 14 or 15. They know where the grave of the Brothers Grimm is located and grannies run away from them when they ask for the time. They are Turkish and Arab and live in Germany. Some call their lives multicultural, others crass. The action takes place between topping up the cola at McDonalds in Berlin and holidaying with their parents in Turkey. They want to avoid the cliché of the violent foreign youths, but still want to comply with it in order to be cool. "The nine youths approached the Kifrie media workshop with the idea of making a film about their living environment in Berlin. It developed into a fictitious story about violence."

Weltraumschrott

The universe. Thanks to a chain of unfortunate accidents, the wheel falls to earth, causing confusion for the finder but also brainstorms.

Wer bin Ich?

21-year-old Can lives in the strongly Turkish-influenced district of Neukölln in Berlin, where he experiences the tension between everyday Turkish life with its faith and rules, and German independence. When he gets to know the homosexual Deniz, he is the focal point of a conflict between tolerance and tradition.

A morose couple broods dully in a desolate pub. What brought the two of them to this God-forsaken place? The film came into being as part of a seminar with the filmmaker Franziska Stünkel.
